4G 版的 Eee PC 最多能有多少空間?

為什麼可以有近 2.7 G 的可用空間呢?
還有這是完整出廠時的系統並加上最新的 XEPC.org 升級的！
做法不算簡單，就是使用壓縮過的檔案系統了，把第一分區由原來的2.4G 壓成900多 MB，就可以釋放出最多的空間。
現在正在測試中，過幾天會放這個 XEPC 壓縮版還原光碟出來了，以後大家的系統就只佔1GB左右，爽吧！
優點:
空間加大1GB，所以，就算是2GB版本的 Eee PC 都能用 4G 版本的系統！
用簡單的 gzip 類型壓縮，速度不會有很大的降低
缺點:
就是不能再使用升級光碟升級了，因為壓縮過的檔案系統是真正的唯讀空間。
想再升級必需要用新版本的 “XEPC.org 壓縮版還原光碟”。

For English readers, the title is “How much space can we get from a 4G EeePC?”
lazyfai is testing a new xepc release. This release uses gzip to compress the system files to the maximum.
In this case, the user space can be up to 2.7GB.
Pros:
The system files are now about 1G only. So the 2G eeepc can also run 4G’s software;
gzip is used for the compression, the speed will not be noticeably impaired.
Cons:
You can’t update with the xepc CD anymore, because the partition will become read only;
future upgrade will need to start with a new version xepc CD from scratch.

請問這個最新版本的光碟還原光碟適用於 eee pc 900 嗎??

900 跟 701 的鏡頭跟聲音的晶片有所不同，看來 701 的驅動程式不適用於 900。
會再試一下 900 的驅動程式能不能在 701 使用。
