XEPC.org 還原光碟 20080710 測試版本 (Eee PC 901專用)
July 13, 2008 – 3:21 pmEee PC 901 已經推出了一段時間，但是 Linux 版好像還要等，不過想用 901 Linux 版的人不用再等了，Eee PC 901 的 Linux 還原光碟來了！
XEPC.org 還原光碟 20080710 是基於 Eee PC 901 的 OS 1.6 版本，加上修正和更新而成，包括好用的終端機 sakura, 快速的檔案管理員 pcmanfm 和 gpicview，還有可以代替完整桌面模式的 LXDE （需人手修改一下腳本）等等。其他的變動這看之前的這些介紹：

不過這個測試版只有英文界面，中文界面會在下一版本加入。
PS. 這個是仍然在內部測試的版本，不過暫時還看不到有什麼嚴重 bug，有問題請回報。

Can I install it on my normal pc ? like ThinkPad or others ?

It doesn’t support models other than Eee PC 901, like network and display.

If this upgrade disk cannot be installed on a 701 model in order to have the latest & gratest EeePC device, what ISO shall I use to get my 701 to latest state?
The june one?

I had install it on my ThinkPad .But can’t boot.
This one have the root-fs in squashfs image can’t edit xorg.conf.
I need extract root-fs into disk than edit it.

今天試了一下安裝在我的901 xp 版上,發現執行速度不佳,跟之前701比較起來差很多,看RMVB檔再開啟其它程式就會delay,開啟一個程式如終端機或檔案總管也要等一會時間,於是又把它還原為XP了,不知道是不是有一些程式是安裝在8G MLC中或是還是beta的關係,不過還是感謝lazfai兄,感謝您的努力才有這ㄇ方便的還原光碟,期待中文版的到來,我會再做詳細的測試的,再次感謝!

系統本身沒有使用 MLC，只有 user 的目錄 (即 /home/user) 使用 8G/16G MLC SSD.
客觀比較 CPU，其實 901 跟 701 實在是差不多，但應該不會比 701 慢，請問你當時有沒有用AC電源呢？如果沒有的話會跑得很慢。

In my case , init file mount /dev/sda1 as ext2 it should be ext3 ?

當時確實是沒有使用AC電源!
可是之前701沒使用AC電源反應也不會如此慢,會不會是BIOS問題,我已更新至XP版BIOS 1001版本 !!
