通用版本還原光碟進度
July 26, 2008 – 5:57 pm最近在忙著把 701 和 900 等舊型號的 Eee PC 支援加入到 901 版本的還原光碟中，最終目標是通用版本的還原光碟，可以在 701 和 900 等的型號 Eee PC 上享受最新版本的系統，目前進度:
- LCD 解像度，全系列支援，包含 800×480 和 1024×600
- VGA 輸出，解像度正常，901 更可調節兩個長寬比
- 有線和無線網路正常，開機時有腳本偵測不同的晶片組，使用不同的驅動方式
- ACPI 正常，所有熱鍵都能用，當然，在901以外的型號，設定熱鍵的軟體沒有作用
- 聲音輸出輸入正常，Webcam 正常，包括 900 之前的 0.3 MPixel 版本和之後的 1.3 MPixel
- 一個 SSD (701, 702) 和兩個 SSD (900, 901) 的型號都可以使用，第二個SSD會用作 /home/user
- F9 還原功能可以選擇格式化第二個 SSD 與否(900, 901)
- 更新程序會使用 901 的套件，會試試改成使用 1000H 的，因為裡面的軟體最多
- 內置藍牙正常，可撥接上網，但未支援 USB 藍牙模組，所以在901以外的型號不能使用藍牙，嘗試修正中
預計兩周內可以完成這個通用版本。
31/7/2008 更新: Firefox 3.0.1 也會進入這個版本，稍後也會放在 XEPC.org 軟體庫。

701 至 1000 都可以使用，不過要留意幾點:
1. 701和900 的話在休眠之後起來 wireless 會不通
2. 901 開機時的光度會變最亮，不過調一下就會變原來亮度
3. 901 wireless 有時會不穩，要重新開機才正常

非常感謝您的努力！
有個非常基本的問題要請教：
下載完0629版的701壓縮還原光碟後，
燒成DVD，並copy到usb，也在win底下執行makeboot，
一且看起來都很正常，
放進epc，也重按了f9還原，
將usb放入後，出現了執行畫面，但是更改磁碟機為sdc1後，依然無法執行。
請問問題可能為何？
是否需要將usb 利用linux format後再複製光碟裡的檔案？
或者？

請問你的型號是 901 嗎? 應該不用改什麼磁碟機的。
如果一直在藍色的開機畫面中，可以把 USB 磁碟上的 vmlinuz 檔案改一改名，變成 vmlinuz.usb (或相反)。

的確一直停在詢問是否要用tab更改指令的畫面！
原本就是vmlinuz.usb
而指令中也是。
從執行的反應來看，應該是無法進一步讀取usb。
如果型號是701，就得改usb format的格式？

请教一个问题。
我有一个Windows程序，通过wine在eeepc上运行。
其中包含有条形码显示，在wine 0.9.25版本上能够正常显示。但是如果安装wine 1.0，条形码就无法显示了。
我看过wine的目录，其中的~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts目录下已经有了条形码显示的字体文件，而且用firefox看有条形码的网页也没有问题。
请问博主有没有遇到过类似的字体问题，多谢！

我所用的条形码字体在notepad中可以正常使用
另外有个线索是程序中的条形码字体是以HTM形式体现的，
而eeepc无法正常使用wine GECKO，不知道这有没有影响

谢谢，不过我也不确定是什么原因
因为在0.9.25上，一切正常，但也没有安装wine gecko（安装了似乎也没有用，默认版本的IE提示转换错误不能使用，CHM文件也无法打开）；仅仅更新wine到1.0，条形码就不能显示了。

BlueSoleil 嗎？這一個有點難度，因為 901 內置的藍牙程式跟 BlueSoleil 不可以一起安裝。
不過可以測試一下 901 不用官方的，改用 BlueSoleil。
另外 901 的 wifi 好像經常掉線，雖然好像連到，但 Firefox 載入網頁一直沒反應，大家有沒有遇過類似的情況?

wine条形码字体的问题，我上winehq也问了，有人回答用git测试
可是我装上之后，测试了第一遍，定位到0.9.44***之前的版本，但在进行第二遍测试的时候就出问题了：

我遇到一个很奇怪的问题：
我原来用懒人包安装其他东西，没有刻意升级firefox，版本应该是2.0.0.14（701原始版本为2.0.0.9），可以安装chmreader 0.2.1，打开CHM文件完全正常；
但是现在重新恢复系统之后，firefox无论什么版本都装不上0.2.1了，在chmreader网站上2.0.0.*对应的都是0.2.1.1版本，而用这个版本在eeepc上无法正常打开CHM文件；昨天我用新立得在xepc上把firefox升级到了3.0.1，并安装了chmreader 0.2.3，结果还是打不开CHM文件。
想问问lazyfai大大，为什么原来的2.0.0.14能装上chmreader 0.2.1呢，chmreader新版本怎么会比老版本支持还差呢？（现象是：打开CHM文件没有任何反应）

有人遇到相似的問題。請試試看在終端機內使用 “/opt/firefox/firefox” 跑 firefox，然後打開 chm 檔看看會不會出現跟他相同的情況 ?

USB 電視棒的驅動跟系統內置的有衝突，可以先用”sudo dpkg -r v4ldvbpb-dmbth v4ldvbpb” 移除，再行安裝，稍後會修正。
Ezpeer 在 901 中好像也失蹤了，這個也可以在下一版本加回來。

內建的輸入法在XEPC之下被改成gcin輸入法，裡面似乎沒有繁體注音輸入法的設定檔，想請問一下如何恢復原本的注音輸入法呢？我想使用新酷音~~麻煩您的幫忙…

謝謝囉！我發現原來詞音的輸入也算方便，那就沒有必要換了，畢竟對linux我也很不熟悉！
今天測試的時候遇到一個問題：開機後，無線網路雖然自動開啟，但是卻無法自動連上之前常用的無線網路，必須要靠手動選取才行。另外的困擾是：休眠之後，無線網路再離開休眠模式後，也無法字型抓取，從網路設定進去後，嘗試手動連已設定好的無線網路，會出現錯誤訊息如下：

進入無線網路–>重新整理後，卻發現什麼無線網路都沒有，只能重新開機，才能再手動連的上。這樣似乎很麻煩，eeePC闔上休眠行來後，去找不到任何網路，只能重新開機，真的很麻煩！不知道是否是哪裡設定沒用好呢？謝謝回覆我的問題…

有簡體輸入法，具體名字忘記了。
而且可以用滑鼠點右下角的輸入法圖示，有繁簡轉換功能，可以用繁體的輸入法自動轉換成簡體字輸出。

I don’t know liuux. I copy the latest #701 20080629 ISO firmware file (cut and paste), alzip file, syslinux file on a SD card, run syslinux in window and I found makeboot file was created. Then insert the SD card into a card ready, press F9 to restore factory setting, followed by press F9 again to select boot up by USB. But the window just blank there, nothing happen. Then, I have to press the power button to turn the machine off. When I press the power button again, it boot up with previous setting without any upgrade. May I ask which part is wrong? Thx!

You need to “extract” the content of the ISO file, not copy and paste the whole ISO file to SD.
And you don’t need other files, just the content of the ISO file, that’s enough for the purpose.

Fai Hing: I use alzip to extract file on SD card. Insert it into card reader. Then press F9 to restore factory setting, press ESC to switch to USB boot up. But the screen is blank, just hang there. Am I missing other step? Or not good to use card reader? Thx!

If you have a Windows machine, insert the SD to a Windows machine, and run the “makeboot.sh” on the SD card, this will make the SD card bootable.
Remember you need to use FAT, not NTFS for the SD.

站主辛苦了！
小弟已於epc900安裝”5/8/2008 更新: 測試版本”，目前功能皆正常。
但是有一問題想請教：小弟是灌xp及站主的linux雙系統，灌完xp後發現xp無法辨識16g的MLC，所以讓xp格式化成fat32，就多出了16g的d碟空間。待再回去linux時，它就自動回復原系統，並且完全將16g的MLC惕除在系統之外。因為小弟是linux生手，希望站主可以幫忙小弟將現有格式化成fat32的16g的MLC掛載到linux系統的資料碟。這樣就可以讓兩個系統的資料互通了！！感謝站主賜我完美4g雙系統！！

Fat Hing: Still doesn’t work with SD card with card reader. Now, I borrow a USB finger (FAT format), unzip the ISO file on it, run the makeboot under window Vista. Then, I press F9, to restore factory setting, press ESC to boot up with USB. Now, the machine doesn’t blank now, but go into system directly (not go into prompt mode like DOS??). After boot up, the desk top content seems same as before. Am I upgrade successfully? Thx!

For your case, seems the system hasn’t boot from the SD and so no update is done yet.
Can you use an USB disk instead of SD?

Fai Hing: My prevous discription was carried out by an USB fash disk (finger)! I just discover another problem, which may related to this matter. I press F9, the screen no longer bring me to the ¨factory setting restore”option, but go directly to the system boot up. thx!

報告一個小bug, 小弟的機型是701, 用了20080629的 recovery 版本光碟,
錯誤地方發生在開機完後, 蓋上LCD螢幕, 它會 suspend to ram,
再打開 LCD, 按下電源鍵後它會以最高亮度運行,
此時的 Fn+{F3.F4} 都失去作用,
我後 來再用原廠的 recovery 光碟灌回原廠的最舊版本,
卻不會有此問題, 應能確定是20080629版本的acpi驅動不完整,
不知是否有辦法修正此一小問題?

這個問題已經發現了，在 suspend to ram 之後 LCD, ACPI, Wifi 也失效，似乎通用版本的難度真的很高，網上面只有 701 的源碼，900和901 已經沒有再放源碼出來，要除錯很難。

安裝”5/8/2008 更新: 測試版本”後（原廠cd回覆也是一樣），會在16g的MLC產生home及lost+found的資料夾，所以讓xp格式化成fat32後，待再回去linux時，是否因為這兩個資料夾消失了，它就自動回復原系統，並將這兩個資料夾改安裝到slc的第二個分割區，完全將16g的MLC惕除在系統之外？

When I enter the bios, I find the default setting of boot bosster has been set to disable aleady. I tried to enable it, but still go to the system boot directly. One interesting thing is when I want to disable the boot booster, it disappear from the entry. Will it affect the system? Where to find the boot booster again? Whatelse can do to upgrade to XEPC? Sorry for too much trouble given.

No, what I meant was you need to disable Boot Booster first.
If you enabled Boot Booster, usually you cannot boot from other media like CD/USB.
In your case, I have no idea what’s wrong, but seems you cannot boot from CD/USB.
