1. I ask you to the old wifi driver change, and that is to connect those who previously have not reset??
2. How old the driver to retain it? Can you explain a little further?? Thank!!!!

Re: nakazima
Do not have to reset the connection, the only driver-for-one set will not be lost.
The new driver is not much different with the old, will not make the original failure to perform its functions, that is, WEP / WPA can be used to replace the original reason is that the Xandros drivers in limited areas to support the WPA, and the same is true of wpa_supplicant, It becomes necessary to go in for a normal version, changed slightly after the change on the file you can use the WPA-EAP, the details of this link to see the wiki.

After a morning of the efforts to finally take up the whole process again and found a few problems
1. End for the new madwifi driver, the connection appears to be in the past, but found that all the wireless signal strength of the connections have become only half of the original (100% -> 50% or less),
2. But also in easy mode, was connected to the network will appear in the status bar at the bottom of the fan-shaped symbol will not show a link, but in reality into the connection wizard, you have to show that the network is enable, not even really have to Internet, but in easy mode under in the end it was not even on,
3. Look into the next mode is only half of the
Solution to ask you???? Old driver before or display signal strength is the water it??

Re: nakazima
The new driver is still experimental stage, there is a little strange show, but the use of EAP to normal.

Through the assistance of IT companies have been able to leap through the company's internal network connection,
But the larger problem is that when the connection showed weak signal strength,
And the connection will be a message "wifi0
unknown hardware address type 801 ", the connection can not be any problem, but it seems to be too unstable,
If less than LEAP wireless network, the signal will be too weak a little disturbed, there is still hope that the next update to improve reception strength, thanks to ~ ~

Re: Nakazima
I hope so, but we do not, so do not know when there will be nothing new.

Be a big problem, WPA-LEAP can work, but none through the WEP can not connect, Now a headache

Hello I am the last to ask your wireless network set up after the last time you were talking about ways I try to think that after almost going to have been successful for a very exciting final, but fell short of success or failure of unknown reasons or if I use this method whether Can successfully connect to the line because I am not very familiar linux seems to be such a big change I am afraid I will screw up again at the end of the f9
In addition, I have to ask our school management staff, he said the school's wireless network, we need to support 802.1g
802.1b If you can not use eeepc I would like to ask you whether there is support for this is the reason for the failure to thank you

Re: nownow
This method is a lot of people have tried OK.
Rest assured that the Eee PC is 802.11g but drivers do not like it WPA-EAP.

update:
A few days after the painful changes, the way into the final choice can only be optional, is to use the time to amend (if the use of the new driver, signal reception strength will become smaller, and WEP encryption for wireless will not be able to sign), so Their written a simple script to complete these actions copy In addition, a new driver after driver status bar at the bottom of the fan-shaped symbol will not show a link, but in reality there are connections, the original author that can modify the following file, / usr / bin / startsimple.sh
Change the line:
networkmonitor ath0 eth0 &
to
networkmonitor wifi0 eth0 &
For your reference Hello ~ ~
