For English readers, the title is "How much space can we get from a 4G EeePC?"
lazyfai is testing a new xepc release. This release uses gzip to compress the system files to the maximum.
In this case, the user space can be up to 2.7GB.
Pros:
The system files are now about 1G only. So the 2G eeepc can also run 4G's software;
gzip is used for the compression, the speed will not be noticeably impaired.
Cons:
You can't update with the xepc CD anymore, because the partition will become read only;
future upgrade will need to start with a new version xepc CD from scratch.

With 900 of 701 shots with the sound chip is different, it appears that the driver 701 does not apply to 900.
Will try some of the 900 drivers can not use 701.
